Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Stephanie started her first ballet and tap classes in a small local studio, she had a short stint at National Arts Academy before shipping off to New York City in 2007 to take up the International Student Visa Program at Broadway Dance Center, where she studied contemporary, jazz, ballet, tap, theater, and hip hop under the likes of Ginger Cox, Germaine Salsberg, Judy Rice and Luam.

After bagging the Broadway Dance Center Outstanding Student Award, she returned home more eager to dance. Back in Malaysia, she is a core dancer of amateur contemporary ballet group Balletbase, for which she performed in numerous events in Malaysia and Singapore. In November 2010 she was among four outstanding local dancers chosen to work with Australian choreographer and dancer, Daniel Jaber (Australian Dance Theatre), in the Rimbun Dahan production of the work ‘Poetic Structure'. Stephanie has danced alongside Broadway artists Ramin Karimloo, Simon Bailey and Stephen Rahman-Hughes on West End Stars in Concert. She has worked and performed works by renowned Malaysian choreographer, Suhaili Micheline. 

In 2010 she also performed in the ensemble of ‘The Reluctant Saint’ musical at Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre(KLPac), Malaysia and in the Republic Cultural Centre in Singapore. Her dramatic talent coupled with her dancing skill earned her a Special Award for her solo in ‘One Day – Today?’ at Short+Sweet Dance 2010. Stephanie was a secretary of MyDance Alliance, Malaysia, and has worked closely with Bilqis Hijjas, president of MyDance Alliance.  

In 2011, she was accepted to the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in New York on scholarship and graduated from the Professional Training Program. During her program, she has danced for Bardos Ballet Theater in several site specific works such as "Burrow", which was performed at several locations in New York City and "Reservoir", in support for Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 2013.  

Stephanie is currently a dancer in New York for companies, ‘LiNK! the movement’ under the artistic direction of Ginger Cox, Shauna Sorenson & Dancers, and Kalamandir Dance Company under artistic direction of Brinda Guha. She has had the pleasure of dancing in Gibney POP, Suite Summer Festival, Leon Dance Arts@Peridance, A Dance Can/Modern Tribute, The Symphony Space, Manhattan Movement Arts Center and many more.
